Parental Pay Equality are partnering with international pressure group Pregnant Then Screwed to support their March of the Mummies. We will be marching to Westminster from Trafalgar Square this Halloween ( Tuesday 31s t October 2017 from 12 till 2pm ) to highlight a number of maternity discrimination issues, including lack of shared parental pay for the self-employed. The five demands we will be taking to governement are:
- Increase the time limit to raise a tribunal claim from 3 months to (at least) 6 months
- Require companies to report on how many flexible working requests are made and howmany are granted
- Give fathers access to 6 weeks non-transferable paternity leave paid at 90% of salary
- Give the self-employed access to statutory shared parental pay
- Subsidise childcare from 6 months old, rather than 3 years
